"First Edition. This was the first volume in a planned series of musical books based on novel lines. 6 x 9 inches. 252 pages plus musical notation. Red cloth boards with gilt titles to spine and front cover in very good condition - gilding slightly dulled and mild signs of handling, corners slightly bumped. Unclipped jacket is complete but a sizeable piece has been torn from the front, with some fading, rubbing and minor tears. Binding very tight, no annotations or inscriptions. 'This book is produced in complte conformity with the authorized economy standards' but unusually the pages are hardly tanned and the text and music are crisp and clear throughout. A very good exmaple of this significant book."
